Prior to joining Citadel, Samuel worked as a Software Developer & Cloud Engineer at State Street where he designed and implemented a full stack web portal with a stateless REST API for users to access their credentials for cloud storage accounts. He fully automated the deployment process with Ansible and Terraform, executed unit tests, and enabled TLS/SSL. He integrated the company's production authentication against cloud accounts and developed synchronization of authorized credentials, object storage quota enforcement, and daily backup and restore processes for databases using Ansible and Python with full logging and monitoring support for operational visualization. Samuel also assisted in the development of automated processes for deploying virtual and bare metal storage clusters and ran monthly learning sessions for other developers to learn how to build and automate deployment of Swagger for integration testing and API documentation. He was also the Storage team scrum master, managing sprint plannings, stand ups, and sprint retrospectives utilizing JIRA. Samuel led 5 summer security interns to develop a Hacking-as-a-Service tool for cloud developers at State Street. Currently, Samuel is working with the perception team of the Texas A&M University AutoDrive challenge, sponsored by General Motors. His current tasks include multi-dataset integration for Camera/Image recognition via bounding box convolutional neural network development for Texas A&M's autonomous vehicle. He is working under the guidance of Dr. Alireza Talebpour, Civil Engineering. Samuel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering (Computer Science Track) from Texas A&M University and another Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Houston. He is proficient in various tech stacks such as Ansible, Python, Web, Terraform, Integration, test, Javascript, Flask, and Neural Networks.
